Introducing the Raskel's Rescue Blog

Welcome to the first-ever Raskel's Rescue Blog! By now, most of you already know Raskel's Rescue and what we are about, but for those who do not, let us tell you a little bit about us!

Raskel's Rescue is a nonprofit animal rescue located in Hardeeville, South Carolina. We opened our doors in October of 2023 and, at the writing of this blog, have adopted out over 1,500 animals!

We currently hold the contract for the City of Hardeeville Animal Control, but we are in a very fortunate position, as the City of Hardeeville does not bring us enough animals to fill our shelter. So, we reach out to various partner shelters to help them out and accept animals from them when we have space!

So, what kind of animals do we see? Well, we accept anything and everything that the City of Hardeeville has to bring us. Usually, that means dogs and cats, but they occasionally bring us farm animals as well! Not too long ago, a goat walked right into the Hardeeville Fire Department, and guess where he ended up? You got it! Here at Raskel's Rescue!

Now, since we have opened, we have gotten a lot of questions about a whole lot of everything! From overall adoption procedures to training to medical advice, and so much more. So, we felt that the best way to answer these questions would be through a blog, so here we are!

After all, this is for you, and without you, we wouldn't be here doing the lifesaving work that we do!
