Our mission is simple — the right home for every animal.
We were built on one simple belief: the right match changes everything. We don't just find animals homes — we find them the right home. We'd rather wait three months for the right match than rehome an animal twice.

It started with a dog who kept showing up.
It started with a dog who kept showing up.
Before there was Raskel's Rescue, there was Gus. A basset hound who lived down the street, Gus slipped under Carol's gate like he had been invited, and made himself completely at home. Nobody asked him to. He just kept coming back.
That connection led Carol to find Raskel. A basset hound who had been through multiple adoptions that never quite worked out, Raskel was smart, funny, and quietly exceptional. He later became three-time gold medalist at the Oregon Basset Games. He and Gus started something -- and that something is everything you see here.

We're more than an adoption center.
We support veterans, truckers, and seniors finding the right dog. We house pets of families leaving abuse, keep struggling families together with free pet food, and rehab animals who need more time to become themselves. Our work reaches far beyond placing animals in homes.
