Raskel's Birthday Bash
Hey all you scamps and scallywags, Raskel’s is turning three and we’re throwing a monster of a party to celebrate.
Three years isn’t long (though it’s twenty-one to a lot of us), but we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve done in that time. We’ve saved more than 1,850 animals and launched inspiring programs like our Food Bank and Seniors for Seniors. And we couldn’t have done it without you! You adopted the seniors and the shy guys, the loveable misfits and the crafty escape artists. You’ve walked the dogs and cleaned the kennels. You’ve fostered for us and delivered food. You’ve humbled us, time and again, with your generosity. So this party’s for you!
The shindig kicks off at 11:00, when the mayor will cut the ribbon on our new garden, celebrating the animals and people who have made Raskel’s so successful. Our founder, Carol, will unveil a statue of dear Raskel himself, the dog who started it all.
There’ll be some great food carts, birthday cake, and a petting zoo. And we’ve got a host of activities planned. Swing by the doggy kissing booth to have your cheeks moisturized and then take your pup over to the finger-painting station, where they’ll create some charming outsider art. Unleash your pup’s wild side in the costume contest, where every entry’s a winner. And don’t miss out on the raffle, which includes a reading from a pet psychic, who can tell you exactly what your pet thinks about you and your baby talk. It’s going to be such a rollicking good time the neighbors might call in the heavies, the Paw Patrol.
Bricks for Licks
Our new garden will include engraved bricks to honor the beloved pets and pet lovers in our community. They’re our foundation, after all. Order by X and your brick will be in the garden, waiting for you at the party. We’ll keep taking orders after the party, too!
We hope to see you on Halloween for tricks and treats and some scary good fun.
