Program
The Pink Project: No one should have to leave their pet behind to be safe.
The Pink Project provides temporary shelter for the pets of people leaving abusive situations. We hold them safely until their family is back on their feet and ready to bring them home.

Why This Program Matters
Leaving an abusive situation is one of the hardest decisions a person can make. For many survivors, a pet isn't a complication in that decision — it's the reason they stay. Research consistently shows that pet owners in abusive situations delay or forgo leaving because they have nowhere safe to take their animal.
The Pink Project removes that barrier. We hold the pet — safely, for as long as it takes — so the person can leave.

No time limit — we hold until the family is back on their feet
We remove a critical barrier to leaving an unsafe situation, provide full care for the pet for the duration of their stay, and keep everything completely confidential — no details shared. When the family is ready and safe, we reunite them. There's no time limit — we hold until the family is back on their feet.
